STARLIGHT, MOONLIGHT

Welcome!

STARLIGHT, MOONLIGHT

Starlight Gatherings
by Primitive Gatherings for Moda Fabrics

"Life on the lake has many gifts, and the beauty of a star-filled night sky is one of them.  Without the lights of town, the stars are brighter.  Since this collection was inspired by stars, a sawtooth star print call Starlight had to be included.  Both the sky and this collection are colored in Lisa's favorite shades of blue - Indigo, Navy, and Cadet."

MOONLIGHT

BOM

 Begins:  February 1st

8 month BOM

Cost:  $32.95 per month

Thank you for choosing our stunning Moonlight quilt featuring Wilmington Batiks.  These batiks, with simple geometric-type motifs, have been custom- colored for a coordinated palette of ivory, warm cream, tan, black charcoal, and a variety of light to medium grays.  A modern and dramatic color scheme with the richness and depth for which batiks are known.

Moonlight is specially designed for an 8-month Block-of-the-month quilt program.  It is sized for a king bed (with a 9-1/2” drop) or for a “Cal. King” (with 12” drop) or for a queen bed (with a very generous 17-1/2” drop).  The quilt is 95” square with twenty-five 15” blocks that are square-set but colored to create eye-catching diagonal lines and overlaps, giving the appearance of an on-point setting.  The border is created with 4-patch blocks of one batik pattern in 3 related colors for a unique “gingham” effect.

We believe that the size of the blocks and piecing means quilters with moderate experience and even confident beginners will find this project achievable (no tiny or intricate piecing).  Since it’s made with batiks, it will even look great with simple allover quilting.
