Stripology Basics

Looking for a way to quickly and accurately cut fabrics for a quilt project? Stripology rulers just
might be the answer. This class includes demonstrations on the basics of using a Stripology
ruler, such as cutting strips, cutting squares and rectangles from strips, squaring up quilt blocks,
and cutting odd-sized measurements (1/4”, 1/8”, etc). Participants will use their own Stripology
ruler to cut out their project they bring to work on during the class. The instructors will be
available to provide assistance and answer any questions. This class could change the way you
look at cutting out quilt projects!
Class includes a break for lunch, so feel free to bring your lunch or take time to go to a local
eatery for lunch. Refrigerator and microwave available.

Supplies
Creative Grids Stripology Ruler (recommended Creative Grids Stripology XL Ruler) – Please
note you must call the shop no later than October 15th if you would like a ruler ordered for you.
Cutting Mat, Approximate Size 24 x 36 inches
Rotary Cutter with a sharp blade
Quilt Project Pattern and Fabrics (your choice)
GEasy Ruler Stickers (recommended, but not required)
Book: Master Your Stripology Rulers published by GE Designs (recommended, but not required)
