This class will show you how to speed piece log cabin blocks while maintaining accuracy. You will perfect your ¼" seam and learn to press so that seams lay flat and sewn strips are perfectly joined. You'll learn to match seams perfectly when you join blocks and lots of other great tricks and tips to improve your piecing and speed up your sewing. Best of all, it is fast and fun and there are no triangles!!! Cut 1 ½" strips of lights and darks (no mediums please!) from your stash and we will toss them like a salad and come out with a fabulous "scrappy" log cabin quilt. No cutting logs! If you want a bit more order to your project select lights and darks of your choice, but don't get too picky! This is a great stash quilt, and is a terrific project to get you "outside of your box" and try fabrics and patterns you might not normally use. Make it a girls' day out and bring your friends because swapping strips is half the fun. No pattern required. Suitable for beginners right up to advanced quilters.
